Digital camera recommendations

I'll be heading over to the states soon and I'd say I'd be able to pick up a digital cam over there a lot cheaper than over here, so just looking for peoples recommendations.

I recently had a loan of a Sony Cybershot that seemed easy enough to use and I had the pic setting to 3.1MP and the quality was sufficient for what I want.

We bought one a few years ago and have been recommending it ever since - since then i've bought one for three of my aunts and an uncle (5 cameras in total, each a better model, at a lower price than the last!) The best part about an Exilim is the superb screen on the back - it's one of the biggest on the market.

The model i've linked to is a 6 megapixel for about €200... when we got our one it was a 3 megapixel for €400!
