I used one to send a UPS(NTL) scart cable signal across a room to the receiver where the TV was, picture quality was good, the responsiveness of the remote was poor, sometimes changing channels twice when we only pressed for 1 change , thus we'd have to press ch+ or ch- very tentatively.
It didn't work well through the solid chimney breast and the OH didn't like the extra wires from the Infrared transmitter which needed to be in front of the UPS box.
In researching it I did read of possible issues with sky remotes, google is ur friend.
