Did RTE jazz up the news?

Look very flashy and graphicy all of a sudden with one of those news screen that you stand in front of. Wonder how much that cost?

All the lads will be happy to see more of .

A sad day indeed.

I used to be proud of the fact that us Irish had sensible news programmes with an ordinary looking desk and no frills.

I'd laugh at the dumbed down version on ITV, with people walking around with no seats and their flashy graphics. Sky of course are the masters of nonsense.

Even the Beeb now are starting to dumb down, so I always had RTE.

Imagine my horror tonight when I switched on to the 6 o'clock news to see Dobson standing up in front of flashy graphics !!! No heart sank. New music as well.

So much for RTE saving money, eh?
