Did EBS offer Mortgage Holiday Breaks

Hi,
I took out my mortgage with EBS 10 years ago. At our initial meeting I can vaguely recall the official telling me that I could take 2 holiday breaks during the term of the mortgage.
I am at the stage now where I would like to take a 6 month break but when I contacted the EBS they have told me that they never offered holiday breaks in their terms. I can still picture the official in the office telling me about the holiday break option and I was thinking at the time that it might come in handy 10 years down the line.
I cant find my original contract with them but am wondering if anyone on here has taken a holiday break with EBS.

Ask them for a copy of the original mortgage agreement. If it doesn't include such a clause, you may well need to approach such a request under MARP agreement.

Thanks for that. I will have a look for the original contract over the week-end.
I was also wondering has anyone had any experience of holiday payment breaks with the EBS because they appear very strong on the issue of never offering payment breaks.
