Hi,

I am looking for something that be using during an interview, plugged into a computer and hey presto the conversation is typed up - I don't expect it to be 100% accrate and don't want it to cost the earth - any thougts?

I use Dragon Naturally Speaking (Preferred version) with a USB headset (has its own sound - many pcs have poor sound). Once trained, it's quick to recognise normal speed voice. Latest version is about 185. Fantastic!!

We tried Dragon naturally speaking about 3 years ago in our offices. The Boss wanted it to work (it was his pet project for years) and was disappointed because he got laughed out of it by everyone else. Complete gibberish was typed up.

We had our IT person review it at the time and the consenus was that this type of software is "almost there", but not quite. As I said, that was about three years ago, so perhaps it has improved.

Any updates on this type of software?

I have been reading about Dragon Naturally Speaking too, and will am considering giving it a try.
