Bad !!!no why is it bad
Very hard to believe but obviously true. I spent two summers working there in the late 60s. It was so vibrant. Lots of fun and grrrrreat music. I feel so sad for those people who have been cast aside.Article in last Sunday's Observer about how Detroit became a ghost town

Since Berry Gordy and his troups of songsters pulled out after the Detroit riots about 1970 things have been slipping a little. Even Tom Jones had enough of it in the mid 60s as he sang in his song Detroit City. If Philly Soul interests you there are some nice realtor lumps in Philadelphia - even if under two feet of the white stuff at the moment. But as for investment? Yes, if the car industry takes off againhas anybody invested in detroit city is it as good as it sounds
