depreciation factor on crashed car

Involved in a car crash, someone crashed into me. a lot of damage done, have been told I can claim depreciation factor on the repair cost. Can anyone please advise
 
Depreciation is calculated as a % of the nett repair cost of the vehicle.

Generally 20-25% for 1-2 yr old, 15-20% for 2-3 yr old, 10-15% for 3-4yr old, 5-10% for 4-5yr old. Really depends on the original condition of the rest of the vehicle, mileage and use of the vehicle, as to what % you get offered.

If your vehicle is deemed beyond economical repair - you don't get depreciation because you're being offered the current list price.
