Deposit money not refunded

Hi ,

I put the deposit for the house of €3000 in Apr 2008 with the onwer as there was not estate agent involve . its one to one deal . I made the receipt the i paid 3000€ against the deposit of the house .

After 4 weeks i came to know and i being refused to get the mortgage and i demand for my money back ,

He said no problem and kind of delaying and dragging this out for 4 months then i went to solicitor they took 1000€ off me to process the case. Still no answer .

Any suggestion will be great.
 
Have you asked the solicitor as to what is going on ??
 
Try get your mortgage approval next time before you hand over any money.
Solicitor is probably your best bet but i wouldnt be hoping for it any time soon, maybe call into the seller and tell him there's a solicitor involved andif you get the money within a set deadline he'll hear no more about it.

I checked with Solicitor she had the date in court for March

Yes thanks for advice i learn my lesson . I already call him so many time and he dont pick up my phone , also he had the letter from court to pay the money

I didnt mean to be smart but learn from this mistake.
I reckon a call in person might help aswell, be as civil as possible, tell him if he pays you within a set deadline he'll hear no more about it, otherwise the solicitor will sort it. Remember be civil!
