Will be spending a couple of days in Denver before touring some of the national parks. Is there anything worth doing or seeing while in Denver, Colorado in September?

I was in the Denver region a few years back and went into town on a Saturday afternoon. While very pleasant to look at and stroll around there wasn't very much happening and it was pretty dead. It's apparently much lively at night with a vibrant jazz scene.

The baseball stadium is located downtown and if you're lucky you might be able to catch a game. I still have this link in my bookmarks if it's of any use to you.

Allen,

Denver is a pretty city but the real Colorado is when you leave it. Try Boulder to teh north, college city but very small. Highway all teh way there. I'm presuming that you 'll be doing the Rocky Mountain NP, I came at it from Estes Park, quaint little village. Park is breathtaking. Head to Aspen/Vail after that its magnificant. Colorado river is amazing. Have a ball!
