Dentist won't refund me money due to me

I got my wisdom tooth removed in 1999, it cost me £535 which I paid. I claimed this back from the VHI this year. The VHI paid the dentist €125, which he was to refund to me. He won't pay it to me. What will I do?
 
I think your gripe is with the VHI, go back to them and tell them the situation which has arisen.
 
check with the VHI. Was their payment intended to benefit you (directly) or the dentist (as a means of lowering the cost to you)?

Your next move depends on their response.
