I have it and wonder if its worth it too.
I pay a modified rate of PRSI so that was the main reason I joined - VHI is deducted from my payslip so I don't miss it that much. All in all I'm paying circa €700 for my VHI and have not used it once since I joined 4 years ago.
The qualifying period are quite long - some are three years and this year they dropped one of the orthodontics products. When they introduced the dental scheme first they was only a six month wait but it proved to be extremely popular.
