I made my first mortgage payment in September 2005, and sent in the completed TRS form to the revenue in September. To date, I have received mortgage interest relief for half the full amount for January, the full amount for February, but I am still waiting for a refund for Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec and half of January - alot of money when you are a first-time buyer. My mortgage is with BOI, who claim they have not received my file from revenue for last year, with the revenue claiming they passed the details to BOI in November. I can't get a definite answer as to when I will be refunded with both sides blaming the other, and am I wondering if others have experienced a similar delay?
