Hi rheinie,

Is your occapational pension scheme a defined contribution or a defined benefit scheme? How long have you been a member of the pension shceme? How far away are you from normal retirement age?

In some circumstances in a redundancy situation it may be advantageous to make a large avc payment out of the redundancy settlement towards the end of your employment.
