Deed of Transfer/ Gift Tax

I split with my ex partner a number of years ago and looking to get a deed of transfer to withdraw her name from shared ownership mortgage. Spoke to my solicitor and he believes there may be a gift tax for gaining from her share on top of the usual fees. Doing my figures and it works out between 6-7k. Solicitor asked me to contact an accountant to advise. Has anyone any advice on the matter?
 
To get advice you will have to give more information. Value of house, value of mortgage remaining, were you married, has the bank agreed to release her.
