I have a cordless dect phone. I got it a few years ago from Eircom. I would like to have a second cordless phone in my kitchen. Could any cordless phone be used with the (base station) phone I have? This extension phone does not need a telephone (plug) point? Any site you can recommend to further my knowledge on this topic? Thanks............
Most GAP compatibleDECT phones are plug and play with each others' base stations. If they are not GAP compatible then they may not work together. I have at least one DECT phone at home which is not GAP compatible so the two standards don't always go together. However recent DECT phones probably are GAP compatible.
