Declaring Overseas $ Mortgage in UK Application

We own an apartment in the USA which we rent to a tenant, it's a $ mortgage with a US bank from when we lived and worked there.

Now living in the UK, we want to apply for a UK mortgage for a UK property. my question is are we legally obliged to declare the US property as a liability on the UK application?

If there are transactions going in and out of your main current account relating to this property,then potential lenders will query them when you supply your bank statements.
