Hi All

Looking for some advice, i have 2 outstanding debts one with PTSB €1341 and the other with GE Woodchester €1685, i have been paying €40 per month but i am due to go on maternity leave in a few weeks and will not be getting my wages so i have offered them a settlement of 25% on each, just waiting to hear back now.

Has anyone ever been in a similar position and the settlement been accepted?

Just sending a note offering 25% will be unlikely to be accepted.
If you explained that you will have nil income for the foreseeable they might accept it.

For what it is worth.
On 1645 & 1341 they are very very unlikely to go to the cost of going legal.
On 2986 @ 40 per mth = too long to be in Limbo.

Suggest.
When they write back , explain your position and say that with extra child you won,t have the 40 available and that 411 & 335 is your only sensible offer to get closure.
I think lenders are getting more pragmatic and the cost of just placing your 40 each month is a drag for them.
Life has to move on,
