Deal done for hotel stay next week

Perhaps I was being a bit over optimistic at the time but I booked a week away in Ireland starting next week.
I booked back in November when the Covid-19 future looked a bit more hopeful than it transpired since.
I'm wondering should I ring to cancel? it's more than 5km away and the purpose was relaxation not work.
I didn't give any card details at the time.
 
I'm surprised that the hotel haven't been in touch with you to cancel. I had booked a night away for Dec 27th, the hotel phoned me as soon as the restrictions were announced.
No harm giving them a call.
