It consisted of a 75 minute long interview With Daveinterspersed with clips from home movies & assorted interviews with agents & other band members as Dave walked & more often stumbled across Exmoor .
Dave talked about the formation of the Kinks , their influences & his fractious relationship with Ray & in general mused on his life to date.
It was the best TV I've seen in years - by turns wildly eccentric , informative & hugely amusing.
BBC 4 followed that with an hour of performances recorded by the BBC of the Kinks - what great music they produced !.
Waterloo Sunset must be one of the most sublime songs ever.
