Dash clock in VW Sharon ??

Just trying to get some feedback from any petrol heads out there about a dashboard clock that's gone on a siblings VW Sharon 2005.

The clock only reads in km's. It's supposedly thousands to replace New and there's almost no availability secondhand. A clock from England won't do as it's in miles.
If it was myself I'd be thinking that a dashboard clock would be a kind of optional to the operation of the vehicle but this has taken out the central locking etc too. And I suppose you'd need a speedometer to pass the NCT.

I'd also be wondering if there is a universal generic type dash that would satisfy the NCT requirements. ?

probably not much help, but the VW Sharan shares a lot of its parts with the Ford Galaxy and the Seat Alhambra. All three were basically the same car but badged differently for each manufacturer. So if you are looking for a second-hand or scrapped one, look for all three models.

There is a company in Rathcoole that repair digital dashboards. I have used them a few times for dash's that have gone faulty. The website is http://www.logicautomotive.com
