Hi

Are dart trains operating as normal as far as stations south of Malahide - missus needs to get to Sutton first thing in the morning via Connolly.
Left it a bit late to contact Irish Rail and no answer from Connolly.
Thanks

Yes no problem to Sutton, the line from Connolly to Howth unaffected.

why do thay have to bus people from dundalk to dublin, why not the station just before the collapse?

There are only 2 enterprise trains in service & one broke down yesterday. The other train is the wrong side of the bridge collapse.

Presumably there is no crossover at the station north of Malahide so trains would operate on the wrong track and conflict with each other. Also there is no direct road, only windy back roads so it's probably faster to get a bus from Dundalk and use the motorway. And finally, even if they could, the Dart would never be able to cope with all the extra passengers.
