As of 15th April 2013

Credit rate on current account down from 0.75% to 0.25%
Debit rate on current account up from 10.25% to 12.00%

Standard credit card rate up from 10.25% to 12.00%

That's a hefty swing of 2.25%!
 
Yeah, it is a massive reduction in interest on deposits and a major hike in credit card rates. When it comes to current accounts, Danske are completely blown out of the water by their competitors.

I now have a full break down of the new rates for current accounts. I will update the best buys.
 
The only reason I've my day-to-day current account with Danske is because I have my mortgage with them and avail of the discount interest rate.

<b>Prestige Account</b>
Annual Charge = €120
Mortgage Discount on €345,000 = 345,000 x 0.45% = €1,552.50

<b>Easy Plus</b>
Annual Charge = €75
Mortgage Discount on €345,000 = 345,000 x 0.2% = €690
