Danger of buying property off plans

Hi,

I bought an apartment off plans.

I was doing the snag list yesterday and discovered that the patio door in the bedroom has a four foot brick wall outside of it. So the door only opens in or slightly out.

The reason the wall is there, is so it fits in with the outside structure of the apartment block. Ideally a railing would have been better for light purposes.

Is there anything I can do about this at this stage as the closing is in two weeks time.

Is this a valid snag or what?

Well if it doesn't apear on original plans - you could always pull out of sale. (could be issues for deposit though) Speak to your solicitor.

Is door suppose to open out? You mentioned slightly?

If it doesn't work get it fixed. Don't be afraid to delay closing, they can't give away property at the moment so they won't want you pulling out.
