Hi All

I've been in the house for the 2 years and have dampness on the base of a wall which is right in the middle of the house!! it only affects one side oft the wall. There is no plumbing underneath and the wall is downstairs right opp front door??

Any ideas as to where this could be coming from?

Re: Dampness on an interior wall???

1. Are there any plumbing fixtures above?
2. What type of flooring do you have downstairs? It may be seeping from somewhere else and just following the fall of the floor (as we know floors are rarely level)

Hi

Thanks for the reply, there is no plumbing directly above, it seems too far from the front door for it to be seeping in. The strange thing is that it happened all of a sudden...

'all of a sudden' would lead to the conclusion of a burst pipe.....

do rads run along this wall??

You don't happen to own a dog? Do you?

Is there a difference in floor level on each side of the wall. What is the construction of the wall.
