damp and mould in bedroom

hi all

live in a corporation which has damp and mould on gable wall which has ruined beroom furniture.
went to them to be told they no money for repairs but insisted that they send some one call up to see the problem, told them not going to pay rent until problem is fixed.would it be woth my while to get a private surveyor to see where the problem lies.
as they have told me they will pump insulation in the cavity wall,but this is not getting to the route of the problem.

What ventilation do you have in the rooms adjacent to the gable? Also, what kind of heating is present in these rooms and to what extent is it used?

double glazed units in both rooms 2 which openin each room for fresh ventilation and oil central heating

Does anyone know can I claim for bed only 6 month's old riddled with mould and fungus and furniture. a And wooden have to come up .
