Damaged Euro Notes - can they be exchanged?

hello,

I discovered 4 x 10 euro notes which were left in a jeans pocket and ended up being dyed dark blue/almost black.

They are perfect otherwise - not torn, not shrunk, with all serial numbers evident etc.

Are they now useless or can they be exchanged/swapped?

if so, to where should I bring them?

If you are in Dublin,the central bank will do it.

If you have a leapcard you could top up your balance using them in a Luas machine.
