Hi all,
My parents garden includes an open area to the front, a grass bank, they had it walled a few years ago to keep it in place, also they had a big area concreted.
The house next door sold a few months ago and the new owner came in over my folks bank as his was too steep. He did not ask permission. His machinery left huge digger tyre tracks/scarring, broke a huge chunk off the concrete which is only 3 years old. The weight of the machinery may have weakened their bank. As the ground was so soft in early April there is the possibility a sewer pipe could have been compressed.
No offer to repair has been made at all. I will ask him to repair fully, to have the sewer pipe checked by camera and to provide public indemnity and his house insurance in the event he declines to repair. Giving one month to fix. Suggestions welcome. I have heard he is not of particularly good character.
This is in northern Ireland, I live in the south, but got great advice here in the past!
