cwps?

hi everyone i was wondering would anyone be able to tell me as a sole trader am i, by law,obliged to sign up to this C W P S for employees as i know in a ltd company suitation i would be.Im asking because im sure i read in the SBP im excluded from this,i asked my accountant but he didnt seem too sure

If you are an employer and employ PAYE employees working in the construction industry then you are oblged. If you hire self employed subcontractors there is no obligation.

A word of caution: Ensure you pay your employees gross to net and not net to gross.
