Have just bought a new countertop for my breakfast bar but need to cut approx 1 metre off to use as a table. Should I use a skillsaw or just an ordinary hand saw for the job. Which would eb better?
as far as i am aware it is usually a skillsaw that is used make sure you do a practice piece so that you do it the right way around so that the clean edge is on the top.
Skilsaw would be the job if you know how to use it. The can be very dangerous if the guard isnt on. Make sure the piece that is being cut off is supported so that when cut it wont drop and jam the blade which could cause the saw to 'hop'
