Next time he should take his ministerial car. Such a waste of tax payers’ money. Now we have to buy a new door top of the running costs of the helicopter, you wont get much change out of a 100k for one of those. BTW Chances are someone (kids) were messing the hinge release catches, the pilot should have spotted this during his visual check before takeoff.
Didn't the same thing happen to an RAF Merlin helicopter during the Galway airshow a couple of years ago too...I doubt there were kids messing with the door there either...
