Hi,
My Chinese fiancée intends to ship a number of personal items to Ireland-some second-hand (clothes, books) and one new item (a bed). The estimated value of these items probably doesn't exceed €1500.
My question: is there a possibility of duty being payable on this shipment either in Ireland or elsewhere? I have previously received conflicting advice. Any help from someone who has imported personal goods from outside the EU area would be appreciated.
