Customs Duty/VAT

Anyone buy luxury item online from US, Canada or UK & avoid paying high customs duty & VAT rate?

They are legally due so you have to pay them.

I have found that some suppliers apply the wrong VAT rate and I try to get it fixed, which can be very difficult.

But if they are luxury items, I would imagine that they are at the 23% VAT rate.

Make sure that the seller is not charging you local taxes which you should be exempt from for exports.
