I was in my local xtravision recently where I overheard a customer complaining about a mobile phone he had bought. He said the phone did not work ... and he wanted a replacement. The sales advisor in the shop said that as the 30 day warranty had expired he would have to contact he phone company directly ... even though he had bought the phone from xtravision they would not assist him. Now, I know that xtravision do not have the power to ascertain whether the customer damaged the phone or whether it was a manufacturing fault ... but if they can't do that ... should they be allowed to sell phones in the first place?

Contract was with Xtra Vision so they are obliged to deal with it. Customer is not entitled to a replacement however and the phone will be repaired if it is found to have a manafacturers defect. He gets nothing if he damaged it himself.

I cant understand why people would go to xtra vision for anthing other then to rent videos, its like buying a telly from dunnes they have no knowledge whatsoever if anything goes wrong.
