Currency rates with stockbrokers?

Hello,

I bought US shares and UK shares through an online broker.
The broker bought the shares with Dollars and Pounds and then converted the amounts to Euros and deducted them from my account.

I would like to know if the exchange rates used were competitive.

1.3123 USD/EURO on March 13th 2007

0.671128 GBP/EURO on April 3rd 2007

Any help is greatly appreciated.

From my Bank of Ireland morning email

Usd on 13th March was 1.3166 at 8.49 am
GBP was 0.675 at 8.36 on April 3

These are mid-market rates.

Looks like you got a good rate but it would be best if there was an agreed method of establishing the rate.
