Credit Union IBAN Incorrect but also Correct

Using Check my IBAN I get this.


This IBAN is incorrect.

IBAN: IE49WAC1991001345*****

Bank: Credit Unions

1 Parnell Street & Upper Grange Waterford

This BIC code is not listed in the SCL reachability directory, so we cannot report whether SEPA Direct Debit/B2B/COR1 are supported.


Also when I tried to set up a new payee with kbc it rejected this IBAN.



But using Get my IBAN, eg. Enter sort code and account number,


It produces the same IBAN with all the correct details for my account.



I've have pm the c.u. but anyone like to hazard a guess, google through up nothing.

"WAC1" should be "WACI" (swift bank codes are letters only)
