Hi - i was wondering about credit checks. i have been late with a number of payments with my credit card over the past couple of years. i eventaully paid them, maybe a few weeks late and paid a late payment fee. does anyone know whether this will affect my credit rating when applying for a new mortgage?

Depends on the CC company , you can get your report to from the ICB (icb.ie)...

Log on to icb.ie and download an ICB request form. Complete it, stick a 6 Euro postal order in the envelope and send it off - you will then know what the state of play is.

but quarehawk how will you know what the state of play is.

you told me yourself on my thread "ICB report-Complete?" that the ICB report we receive as an individual is VERY different from the one institiuions receive in relation to us.
