credit check

hi, we got a record of our credit history from ICB. On it is says a particular bank with whom we have a dormant a/c - never used has performed a credit check on us last month. we never applied to them for loan so haven't permitted them to do so. Should i follow it up and if so - any advice on how.

Why not contact the institution and ask them why they were checking your records? Chances are when you opened the account you gave them the right to check your records at any time but it would be worth verifying this and also finding out why they were checking recently.
