Credit card terminal alternative

Hello, AIBMS tell me that my existing terminal no longer meets security regulations, I suggested a GPRS mobile replacement this is available (Spire M4230) on a 48 month lease @ €27.99 per month plus VAT. Is there an alternative to leasing? Can I buy my own machine and will AIBMS support same? Any other suggestions?

Update, requested AIBMS to confirm that the GPRS terminal will handle the new "near field & contact less transactions, as yet they have not replied. Anybody used the above GPRS terminal?
