I'm thinking of putting in a high gloss cream kitchen with a beige quartz countertop. I've been advised to put a darker counter with light units for contrast or vice versa. the Quartz counter is beautiful - beige / grey.
Am I crazy?

No I don't think your crazy - I have cream painted kitchen with black granite counter tops but I also like cream with the pale counter tops you can add contrast with dark wood table or curtains / blinds, tiles if you want to

I have seen both the contrasting and similar worktops on the cream kitchens. I think it depends on what you what to achieve. With the similar worktop the kitchen will appear more seamless and you can easy had contrast with the colours you choose for your walls or the accs in the kitchen - these will be easier and cheaper to change in the future unlike the worktop. Just make sure the worktop is hardwearing and practical and it will look very modern

we have cream kitchen with cream/grey/tan granite and its fantastic (in my opinion!) I was so tired of seeing white kitchens always paired with black counters and I think this is much nicer. It'll look deadly if we ever change doors to wood in future as well.

did you go for all cream? i am interested in doing the same - what worktop did you go for?
