I have an issue with joist/floorsboards (OSB3) cracking and creaking. I have screwed all of my OSB down with 5 X 60 screws but the joists continue to shot/crack when walking. What other options have I here. Its driving me mad. My carpenter that installed cannot understand it. What about a light levelling compound?

It could be due to sheet edges rubbing against each other; i.e. they were butted tightly when they were fixed. I've heard that some chalk dust along the seams can help to prevent the squeaking, might be worth a shot.

Hey,

Since it's such a miraculous product, how about WD40 ?!!!

Lao.

just sweep some flour over the joints. usually works!!!!! same idea as the chalk i suppose!!
