cpp. card protection lost or stolen

A friend of mine sent of his documents to this company, but they say they havent recieved them. I belive for €30 ayear you are insured and they will replace all your cards. He said he sent off his passport num drivers license credit cards and mothers maiden name in the post. Any one ever deal with this company.
 
I use there service and they are a reputable company that does exist so no worries there.

BUT for this information to go missing could be a problem!! Can the post be tracked in any way? As a company that deals with this type of thing what would Cpp advise him to do?
 
thanks for your reply,hes worried about his details the only step so far is fill in a postal enquiry form and hope he can locate it but this could take forever.especially as he is so worried.any help appriciated
