CPO on residential property

On behalf of somebody who feels they may soon become subject to a CPO (Compulsary Purchase Order) on part of their garden for road building;

does anybody know if it is a set figure or on what basis is it calculated?

Although subjective, the area which might be taken adds alot to the property in terms of mature trees and boundary alongside garden space, so it is felt that it would greatly de-value the residence.

Based on my limited knowlegde of CPOs, they are obliged to pay the market value. Contact the planning dept of your local authority and ask as a general/anonymous question. There may also be info on
