I have a joint mortgage with ex partner. We arer not married and both named on deeds. The property is approx 25,000 in negative equity.
I am paying mortgage past year on my own and living in property. I have one child. The ex not the father.
The ex agreed verbally to sign interest over but has not forwarded letter to my solicitor to confirm this. I have been trying to get him to do this past year so no option tp take it in to court.
Has anybody gone through anything similar? Im feeling sick with thoughts of it.
I think he wants money as he has paid half of the mortgage for past 5 years.
I am worried that the judge will make me give him money I have no savings or any spare cash to give him.
Also Im really worried we could be told to just sell it. Properties are not selling in area - some are up for sale for 3 years.
would like any thoughts or advice.
