Court order for Passport application

I have to go to the Family Law office in Essex Street, Dublin to get a court order dispensing with my ex-husbands consent for the issuing of a Passport for my 16 year old son.

He's gone to a foreign country and I have no contact with him.

Does anyone have experience of this court?

How long does it take to get the order?

I need to get his passport in a hurry because he's going on a school trip to France in three weeks.

Any information would be so appreciated.

Can i get it done on the day i go there?

I really need the passport asap because my son is going on a school trip to France in two weeks and without the passport he cant go.
