Courier rates to UK - heavy packs

We sell goods on-line to Irl and Uk and have used an Irish courier who sub contracts the work to another company in the UK for any UK deliveries.
Our packages can be quite heavy (25- 50 kg) and this couriers prices are very reasonable for these weights. Problem is we have had a lot of damages reported from customers recently as a result of bad handling particularly in the UK.
The courier will not offer any compensation (insurance is too dear) and we can't risk any more damages, so I'd like to hear from anyone who can recommend a good courier that delivers to UK at reasonable rates. Interlink, UPS, AN post all way too expensive with these weights.

No Courier will guarantee your goods. They all use freight forwarders for deliveries.
You may have to spend more money on better packaging.

I use interlink in my job numerous times a day and only one item has ever went missing. None have ever been damaged. They might be expensive but you prob get what you pay for.
