council admin charge?

In a recent meeting with the council (DLRCC) they advised that my purchase (now fallen through) would also require a once of administration fee to the council for €2075 euro,
They were unable to clarify exactly what that is for, so if anyone can tell me and others on this forum that would be great....

please be sure to budget for this when you are buying because your only told about it at your final interview stage

I bought through dlrcc 8 months ago and never heard of an admin fee!! I know for sure that I didn't pay anything to the council.

they are looking for over 2k now, well in my case i won't be paying them

Yes i was also told this, my total is 2450. this includes 1000 for admin fees, 1050 for council solicitor fees and also my apartment has been snagged 400euros by the council. I called the affordable housing partnership and they said that yes some councils do this. there is nothing to state these fees anywhere either on the internet or on the forms you fill in when your applying for affordabe housing. I have a deposit on an apartment in Mimosa Hall the gallops has anyone received their provisional offer yet.
