Could i lose Mortgage intrest relief if....

Hi all,

I realize the answer to this query could be obvious however with all the terms and conditions attached to things these days one never knows!

I'm considering applying for interest only repayments on my mortgage for the next year. Will I retain my mortgage interest relief?
 
To answer the question, you will get TRS subject to normal statutory limits on the interest regardless of whether the mortgage is interest and capital or interest only.
 
My God Eblanoid...don't get your knickers into such a twist! The world is not going to end (at least I hope not) just because I posted a question twice!! If u had a little insight you would realize that the reason I posted this question again is twofold;
1. I had only one reply to that original post and the person who was so kind in replying was unsure of the answer.
2. I actually wasn't aware of the 'Taxation threads'. When I did become aware of same I decided to repost. I figured that the persons here may have more info. regarding taxing matters.

Ps I hope your over the trauma now of my posting twice? If not please get well soon.
