costs of carpenters cut roof

Hi Guys
how much for a carpenters cut roof on a 2000sq foot house? Got three very different quotes for labour (all i think on the high side)....11K, 15K and 18k so not sure which to choose if any. currently awaiting references for these guys. I am building in cork
 
it depends on what type of roof you are doing, like is their is hips ,valleys, dormers etc ,is the price for both the cutting of the roof and tiling the roof .
 
house is L-shaped, so two valleys,3 gables and 3 velux roof windows.no dormers. Price quoted was for cutting roof only
 
Sound similar to mine, 2300 sq feet including a sunroom + a 25 sq m garage, plus large canopy over a bay window, 5 dormers and 1 velux.
Labour for cut roof €10k including putting down a ply floor.
Cost €1400 for upstairs stud work.
Labour for slating roof €4.5k. North Wexford area.
 
i am just about to finnish the very same roof as yours on 1400sqft house and i priced it for e5000 ,it had 110 rafters , 60 joists , two internal hips 5 veluxs ,placing of two rsjs and so far taken 3 days with three men and abouy a day or so to finnsih it
 
Biggest money making racket going roof carpentry! (Chippie excluded)
