Cost of Servicing a Car

I need to get my 98 Polo 1.4 serviced 93k on the clock for a basic service what should i expect to pay i had it done in April so cant be too much wrong with it

How much did it cost in April? If it was done in April your car shouldn't really need another service after on six months even though the mileage is quite high.

you should service your car every 10,000 miles why dont you do a basic service yuorself its easy

My garage does the full service for €110; they are independant and very reliable. Stay away from the main delaers if possible as they will rip you off big time particularly if you need any unforseen repairs.

However if I am not mistaken, some if not all dealers require you to service your new car with them to keep the warranty valid dor the three years post sale. Can somebody please correct me if I am wrong

Whoever does your car, make sure they use the correct specification VW fluids (oil, coolant, brake fluid, etc.) for the service.

Which engine is it MPI / TDI / other?
