I just got a bill from the agents that manage my property "replace 2 siphons in two toilets as toilets were not flushing" for 160 + vat. Does that sound fair?
I have no idea and so i just wanted to check as my bills have been dodgy recently to say the least. I'm not doubting that it needed to be done just checking that i was charged a fair price.
If the price includes the new syphons as well as fitting them, it seems ok.
Does depend on how simple a job it was. Recently had to replace the complete (old) toilet when the syphon failed!
Had a syphon replaced, 38 euro for the syphon and say 50 euro to fit, so think your price is probably okay for two of them.
I'm sure it could be done a bit cheaper, but if you're talking 90 for the labour for the two, then I guess you won't save too much shopping around.. They can be finicky things to fit
My hubbie replaced two syphons in our house in the past year, think its a thing with some new sanitary ware, a plumber mate of his showed him what to do the first time and it took about 10mins, as far as I can remember the product itself cost about €10, Labour costs still seem very high out there!
